Welcome to our Admissions Process!

Here you will find everything you need to become an F-1 student at Celebration Language Institute!

What is an F-1 Status?

F-1 status is a nonimmigrant classification that permits foreign nationals to study legally in the United States. It is required for anyone who intends to enroll as an international student at a U.S. institution.

Out-of-Country
The process of getting an F-1 status through the U.S. embassy or consulate in your home country is usually simple and quick.

1. Contact us and request an I-20 form

a) Contact us through WhatsApp, phone, email or website, and request your form I-20. You will be asked to provide the documentation below:

  • Copy of Passport(s) (students and dependents)
  • Birth certificate(s) for minor child dependents (if the parents’ names are not listed on the child’s passport)
  • Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • Bank Statement (from student or sponsor) providing proof of funds

b) Fill out the registration paperwork and choose your start date

c) Pay registration fee after documentation and paperwork approval

d) Receive your acceptance letter and I-20 form

2. Pay Government Fees: SEVIS Fee and DS-160 Form

Reminder: complete all fee payments at least three days prior to your VISA interview.

3. Schedule your interview

Schedule your F1 VISA interview at the nearest U.S. consulate or embassy in your country of residence.

After your F-1 VISA is approved, please inform our school and send us a copy of your Visa.

4. Customize your program

Take a placement test, choose your class schedule (days and times), and sign your enrollment agreement.

Come to the USA!

Plan your trip to the United States and be sure to inform the school of your travel plans and expected arrival date.

Reminder: Students may enter the U.S. no earlier than thirty (30) days before the program start date listed on their I-20.

Transfer-in

The transfer-in process allows students with an active F-1 status in the U.S. to transfer their SEVIS record to CLI in a simple and smooth way.

1. Contact us and request your transfer

a) Contact us through WhatsApp, phone, email or website, and request the start of your transfer process to CLI.

You will be asked to provide the documentation below:

  • Copy of Passports (student and dependents)
  • Copy of F1 Visa or I797-A (not required but suggested)
  • Birth certificate for minor dependents (if the parents’ names are not listed on the child’s passport)
  • Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • Copy of most recent I-20
  • Bank Statement (from student or sponsor) providing proof of funds

 

b) Fill out the registration paperwork and wait for documentation and paperwork approval.

2. Submit the Transfer-in form

The Admissions Team will send the Transfer-in Form to the student and the current school. The form must be completed and signed by both the student and the current school’s DSO.

3. Pay Enrollment Fee

Once the registration paperwork and required documents have been reviewed, the enrollment fee will be charged.

4. Receive your Acceptance Letter

Once your transfer form has been reviewed and all steps of the application process have been completed, will be issued an Acceptance Letter that must be forwarded to your current school.

5. Receive your form I-20

After the DSO at your current school receives the Acceptance Letter, they must transfer your SEVIS record to CLI. Once the transfer is completed, our DSO Department will issue your new Form I-20.

Change of Status
The change of status process allows individuals who are already in the U.S. under a different visa category to apply for F-1

status without returning to their home country.

1. Contact us and request an I-20 form

a) Contact us through WhatsApp, phone, email or website, and request your form I-20. You will be asked to provide the documentation below:.

  • Copy of Passports (student and dependents)
  • Copy of entry Visa (student and dependents)
  • Copy of Valid I-94 and extensions (student and dependents)
  • Birth certificate for minor dependents (if parents’ names are not listed on the child’s passport)
  • Marriage Certificate (if married)
  • Bank Statement (from student or sponsor) providing proof of funds

b) Fill out the registration paperwork and choose your start date

c) Pay registration fee after documentation and paperwork approval

d) Receive your acceptance letter and I-20 form

2. Pay Government Fees: SEVIS Fee

Click on the button below to make the payment for the I-901 (SEVIS Fee) on the official government website.

3. Submit your Change of Status process

File form I-539 and submit it to USCIS (U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services).

After your F-1 status is approved, please inform our school and send us a copy of your Approval letter (I-797)

Reminder: CLI DOES NOT file your change of status process on your behalf.
Applicants may file on their own or, as recommended, seek legal assistance.

4. Customize your program
